Getting Started
Is Reveals free to start?
Yes! You can hop into anonymous chats instantly with a free account. No credit card needed. Free users get 1 active match at a time and can join public rooms. Pro and Pro Plus plans add features like multiple matches, priority matchmaking, and extended match timers.
Do I need to create an account?
No! You can try Reveals as a guest with no signup required. Guest users get a random username and can start chatting immediately. However, guest accounts have some limitations like session-based chat history and a 20-message limit. You can claim your account anytime to unlock full features.
Can I stay anonymous while chatting?
Absolutely. You start with a random username and default avatar. Your real name, photos, and socials are only shared if both you and your match explicitly agree to reveal them through the progressive reveal system. You control what you share and when.
Progressive Reveal
How does progressive reveal work?
After you match, personal traits are gradually unlocked in tiers. It starts with light icebreakers (age, star sign) and progresses to education, lifestyle, prompts, bio, and finally photos and socials. Both people must consent before each new reveal happens. This creates anticipation and lets you build emotional connection before seeing photos.
What happens if I don't want to reveal more?
No problem! Reveals are always mutual and consent-based. If either person declines to reveal the next tier, the match stays at the current reveal level. You can continue chatting at that level or unmatch if you prefer. There's never any pressure to reveal more than you're comfortable with.
Is anonymous chat safe?
Yes. We take safety seriously with multiple layers of protection: active moderation, content filtering, blocking and reporting tools, device fingerprinting to prevent banned users from returning, and NSFW image detection. All conversations are end-to-end encrypted, and you can report inappropriate behavior at any time. Check our Community Guidelines for details.
Matching & Features
How does matchmaking work?
Our algorithm matches you based on multiple signals: shared interests (most important), location proximity, age compatibility, and activity patterns. Pro Plus users get top priority in the queue. We also ensure you never match with the same person twice or anyone you've blocked.
What's the difference between Rooms and 7v1 game mode?
Rooms are topic-based group chats (up to 10 people) where you answer entry questions and everyone's answers are revealed simultaneously every 2.5 minutes. 7v1 is a dating game where one woman and 7-20 men participate - she asks questions, everyone answers anonymously, then she eliminates contestants until choosing a winner who gets a private 1:1 match.
How do I match with someone?
Just hop into a chat room or hit 'Find Match'. We'll pair you anonymously based on interests and platform availability. You only see each other's details when both of you agree to reveal.
Subscriptions
What do Pro and Pro Plus plans include?
Pro ($9.99/month) gives you 3 active matches, priority matchmaking, see who liked you, read receipts, and 72-hour match timers. Pro Plus ($14.99/month) includes everything in Pro plus unlimited matches, top queue priority, early photo reveals, re-matching capability, verified badge, and advanced privacy controls. Both have discounted yearly plans.
Do subscriptions renew automatically?
Yes, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or yearly). You can cancel anytime from your account settings or through the customer portal. If you cancel, you'll keep your subscription benefits until the end of your current billing period.
Is there a free trial?
We offer a 1-Day Pro Plus Pass for $1.99 - a one-time payment (no subscription) that lets you test all premium features for 24 hours. This is perfect if you want to experience Reveals fully before committing to a monthly subscription.
Privacy & Safety
What data do you collect?
We collect minimal data needed to provide the service: profile information you choose to share, conversation metadata (not content), match preferences, and usage analytics. We never sell your data. Conversations are end-to-end encrypted. Read our Privacy Policy for complete details.
How do I report inappropriate behavior?
Tap the menu in any conversation and select 'Report'. You can specify the reason (harassment, explicit content, spam, etc.). Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours. Users with multiple reports are automatically flagged for review. You can also block users instantly.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data, conversations, and matches. Guest accounts are automatically deleted after 7 days of inactivity. Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered.
