Multi-Layer Content Moderation

Every message on Reveals passes through automated safety filters before it reaches your screen:

  • Auto-Redaction: URLs, social handles (@username), phone numbers, and email addresses are automatically removed from messages.
  • Keyword Filtering: Messages containing prohibited terms (underage references, explicit solicitation) are blocked instantly.
  • NSFW Photo Detection: All uploaded images are scanned by TensorFlow.js AI models before being shown to prevent explicit content.
  • Rate Limiting: Users are limited to 60 messages per minute to prevent spam and harassment.

How Reporting Works

If you encounter behavior that violates our Community Guidelines, report it immediately:

In Chat

Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) in any conversation → Report User → Select reason → Submit

What Happens Next

  • 1.Your report is logged with the reported user's ID and message history.
  • 2.Auto-Ban Threshold: If a user receives 3 reports from different users within 1 hour, they are automatically banned.
  • 3.All active matches with banned users are immediately terminated.
  • 4.Your identity is never shared with the reported user.

Banned Users

Users who violate our terms or receive excessive reports are restricted from accessing Reveals. These bans are linked to unique device fingerprints to prevent evasion.

Privacy & Identity

Your safety is also about your privacy. On Reveals, you have full control over what you share:

  • You are completely anonymous until you choose to reveal your details.
  • Face revealing is optional and requires mutual consent in private chats.
  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Offline Safety Tips

  • Meet in Public: Always meet in a well-lit, public place for the first few times.
  • Tell a Friend: Let someone know where you're going and who you're meeting.
  • Trust Your Gut: If something feels off, it probably is. You are never obligated to continue a meeting.
